Cuckoo Clock Frame Repair

This carving restoration project is the replacement of a missing section of an antique cuckoo clock frame. Unfortunately, the exact design of the missing piece was unknown and research to find identical or similar clocks were unsuccessful. The first step was to design a replacement piece that looked like the original might have looked. The floral piece was carved separately. Matching the finish to appear aged was challenging and included covering the added piece in dust to help match the natural patina.
